Which personal data NewTimes.news processes, why, and what your rights are.
Data controller
JM Triviño Godoy, tax ID (NIF) 22009686C, with address at Partida Carrus P1, 137, 03205 Elche (Alicante), España. Contact: redaccion@newtimes.news.
What data we process
NewTimes.news has no user accounts or analytics tools and does not set cookies of its own. The site is funded by Google AdSense advertising, which works as explained below.
Only the following data is processed:
- Technical server logs. When you visit the site, the server records your IP address, the date, the page requested and your browser. This keeps the site secure and working (detecting attacks or errors). Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Messages you send us. If you write to our contact address, we use your address and message only to reply or deal with your request. Legal basis: your consent when you write to us. They are kept for as long as needed to resolve it.
- Live video. The Live page includes the YouTube player in privacy-enhanced mode. If you play the broadcast, Google processes the data from that playback as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. NewTimes.news neither receives nor stores that data.
- Advertising. Adverts are served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may process browsing data (cookie or device identifiers, IP address, pages visited) to show and measure adverts and, only if you accept in the consent window, to personalise them. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time through "Cookie settings" at the foot of the site. Google acts as an independent controller of that data under its privacy policy. More detail in the cookie policy.
Providers
The site is hosted on an OVHcloud server in the European Union, and the domain is managed with Cloudflare. These providers act as data processors with the safeguards required by the GDPR.
Your rights
You can request access to, rectification, erasure, objection to, restriction of or portability of your data by writing to redaccion@newtimes.news. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
